Poet and Preacher Pens New Prose
Rev. Jerry Lee Hodges writes new poetry book, God Fills Empty Vessels
Bloomfield, Ind (PRWEB) February 28, 2012
The inspiration for poetry can come from a number of places, from the beauty of nature found in the poetry of Walt Whitman, to one’s inner feelings as written in Emily Dickinson’s works. For award-winning poet and preacher Rev. Jerry Lee Hodges, it was God. In his new book, God Fills Empty Vessels (published by AuthorHouse), Hodges pens prose inspiring others to see God’s glory.
When asked about his inspiration for writing God Fills Empty Vessels, Hodges response was quite endearing, “The book is my special thanks to God for helping me write all the books and for touching other souls who help in getting them published,” he said. “From the bottom of my heart I thank God for this.”
What others are saying about Hodges and his poetry:
“He is a great friend. This man is a great writer. His poems are beautiful, and wise, and are from the heart. The moment I hear his poems I rejoice with great delight. Jerry is a very understanding guy. He helps you when you need a friend. He is a great poet-my friend Jerry.” - Leann Sue Corbin
Through his poetry, Hodges wants readers to realize they are not alone in this world, and professes that the mighty power of God and his angels are just a prayer away.
